Jay Mohr Tabbed as Voice for Beyond The Glory

Comedian of Saturday Night Live & Jerry Maguire Fame to Narrate Fox Sports Net's New Documentary Series

Jay Mohr, comedian, actor, NFL pregame entertainer and sports radio talk show host, is adding a new title, after being announced today as the narrator and voice for Fox Sports Net's highly anticipated new documentary series BEYOND THE GLORY.

Mohr, who was added earlier this year to FSN's NFL THIS MORNING pregame show on Sunday mornings, now moves to prime time for the Sunday night, 8:00 PM slot. The weekly one-hour show focuses on sport's most celebrated talent and most memorable events, featuring original interviews, fresh behind-the-scenes footage and untold stories. Speaking of prime time, Deion Sanders is featured in the premiere episode of BEYOND THE GLORY on Sunday, January 7 at 8:00 p.m. local time. Noted movie producer Ron Shelton, in his first television project, is the show's executive consultant.

First gaining national attention while a cast member of Saturday Night Live, Mohr became known for his impersonations of such people as Christopher Walken, Sean Penn and Tony Bennett. Mohr's movie breakthrough came in the role of the nemesis agent, opposite Tom Cruise, in the critically acclaimed, Jerry Maguire. He segued to star opposite Jennifer Aniston in "Picture Perfect."

An avid sports fan, Mohr occasionally guest hosts Jim Rome's nationally syndicated radio show, "The Jungle."

Mohr recently completed filming "Simone" with Al Pacino and Winona Ryder. He recently appeared in "Pay It Forward" with Academy Award winners Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt. This past summer Mohr filmed a futuristic comedy called "Pluto Nash" starring Eddie Murphy and another comedy called "Speaking of Sex" starring with Bill Murray, James Spader and Laura Flynn Boyle. Both movies are scheduled for release in 2001.

BEYOND THE GLORY airs Sundays at 8:00 PM local time and takes an innovative approach in producing sports stories by bringing viewers each subject from a unique and entertaining perspective. Featured guests include: Isiah Thomas (Jan. 14), Warren Moon (Jan. 21), Roberto Duran (Feb. 4), Karl Malone (Feb. 11), The Petty Family (Feb. 18), Bill Buckner (March 11) and Sean Elliott (March 18).
