Katie Lanegran Promoted To Vice President, Public Relations For SundanceTV

New York, NY – February 6, 2014 – Katie Lanegran has been promoted to vice president, Public Relations at SundanceTV. Previously a senior director, Lanegran has managed talent relations, launch and tune-in publicity, events and award campaigns for the network’s scripted series, including Rectify, Top of the Lake, The Returned, Carlos, Restless, and Appropriate Adult, as well as unscripted series The Writers’ Room, Dream School, and Push Girls, among others. In her new role, she will continue to manage PR campaigns for SundanceTV’s programming and the network’s award campaigns as well as help set the overall PR strategy for the network.  Lanegran will continue to report to Suzy Berkowitz-Weksel, senior vice president of public relations for SundanceTV.

“Katie has done a superb job elevating SundanceTV’s profile as the network has expanded with daring and award-winning content,” said Berkowitz-Weksel.  “She’s a talented strategist and her intuition and oversight of our press campaigns will be invaluable as we continue to grow.”

Currently, Lanegran is overseeing the PR campaign for the network’s newest original scripted drama, The Red Road, which stars Jason Momoa, Martin Henderson and Julianne Nicholson and premieres Thursday, February 27.

Lanegran joined the network in 1999 as Manager of Public Relations. Previously, she spent two years as a publicist at Dish Communications, where she was responsible for national and local program publicity.  Lanegran began her career as a publicist for All American Music Group.

Lanegran received her Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts from Beloit College. She is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS).
