JERICHO, NEW YORK, September 26 – Lee Heffernan has joined
WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT as Senior Vice President, Marketing, it
was announced today by Martin von Ruden, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the network.
Reporting directly to von Ruden, Heffernan will be responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of all national marketing efforts for WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT, both consumer and trade. In an extension of the network's marketing strategy, Heffernan's role will be to promote and extend the brand image of WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT in the marketplace on a national level.
"Lee's extensive experience in marketing to women — from executing grassroots strategies to multi-dimensional national campaigns — will greatly benefit WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENTS's brand-driven, high impact marketing efforts to become a leading entertainment source for women," von Ruden said.
Prior to joining WE: WOMEN'S ENTERTAINMENT, Heffernan was Vice President of Marketing at Lifetime Television, where she developed marketing programs and events to enhance brand position, drive ratings, promote programming and gain affiliate distribution. Prior to that, she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Promotion at Turner Broadcasting Sales, where she oversaw marketing efforts for CNN, TBS, TNT, Headline News and Cartoon Network. Heffernan has also served as Vice President of Marketing for Dow Jones TV in New York and Wages Design in Atlanta, GA, and has held marketing positions at First Union National Bank in Atlanta and Griffis-Jordan Advertising in Winston-Salem, NC. A native of Augusta, Georgia, she is a graduate of Salem College and resides in New York City.
