Mag Rack and Twentieth Century Fox Partner For On Demand Release of "Cheaper By The Dozen" on May 14

Mag Rack's "Modern Parent" to showcase the CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN behind-the-scenes featurette and several film clips from the popular film in May

NEW ORLEANS, NCTA – May 3, 2004 – Mag Rack, the first television service created exclusively for video-on-demand (VOD), today announced an extensive programming and marketing partnership with Twentieth Century Fox . Beginning May 14, Mag Rack will launch a new video magazine entitled "Cheaper by the Dozen" to support the on-demand premiere of Fox's hit film of the same name, starring Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt and Hilary Duff. A trailer from the film will be available to Mag Rack viewers in May as part of the line-up on Mag Rack's special promotion of "Cheaper by the Dozen."

As part of the cross-promotion, Mag Rack will also provide on-air cross-channel spots and VOD interface promotional opportunities and create web banners. Twentieth Century Fox will provide a special postcard for affiliate distribution as well as promotional elements from the film.

Programming within the featured "Cheaper by the Dozen" magazine will explore and address some of the parenting challenges raised in the film, including:


  • Life with Twins – Visits a couple during their first week with newborn twins and then revisits them two years later.
  • Family Sizes – Compares and contrasts a one-child family with that of a large family.
  • Coping with Moving – See how you can make your family's move go smoothly and ease your child's anxieties.
  • 21st Century Dad – Not your father's father! Evolution of the dad from patriarch to involved parent.

    The promotional magazine will also include "Cheaper by the Dozen: A Look Inside" that includes interviews with the stars of the film and behind-the-scenes footage.
