Mag Rack Toasts VOD Launch of 20th Century Fox's "Sideways" With Limited Edition Program "Sideways & Wine"

Available May 12 through June 8, Program Take Viewers Further Into California's Wine Region and Behind-the-Scenes With the Stars of "Sideways"

New York – May 2, 2005 – Twentieth Century Fox and video-on-demand leader Mag Rack are introducing a new limited-edition program, Sideways & Wine, to toast one of the year's most talked about films. Launched to promote the national on-demand premiere of Alexander Payne's Academy Award®-winning film Sideways, Sideways & Wine is a full-bodied series of programs that will undoubtedly deepen fans' love for Sideways, its critically-acclaimed stars, and the Santa Ynez wine region made famous by the film. Sideways & Wine will be available exclusively on Mag Rack from May 12 through June 8, coinciding with the film's on-demand premiere May 13.

Sideways & Wine will consist of several exclusive must-see segments from Mag Rack's collection of wine programs, including: "Santa Ynez Walking Tour", a visit to California's lush Central Coast where Sideways is set; "Wine Basics" — a comprehensive introduction to wine hosted by celebrated sommelier Daniel Johnnes. "Wine Basics" explains how to drink, smell and describe wine as well as how to read wine labels and determine which wine best compliments certain foods. Lastly, Sideways & Wine will also feature a segment entitled "Pinot Noir" by acclaimed wine authority, Jancis Robinson. "Pinot Noir" will introduce viewers to the cold climate, fruity red wine made famous by Sideways.

Twentieth Century Fox provides a behind the scenes look at the making of the film, in "Sideways Extra", where the cast share laughs while shooting in Santa Ynez. Fox also serves up "Sideways on Wine", an intimate chat with the film's award-winning stars who discuss what wine means to them; plus the original Sideways theatrical trailer.

"Mag Rack's on-demand film promotions have been enormously successful – for our network as well as the studios who partner with us. For the Sideways & Wine promotion, we are producing and airing programs that provide a richer, more in-depth experience with this critically-acclaimed film," said Dan Ronayne, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mag Rack and sportskool. "Now viewers can savor a glass of their favorite Pinot Noir in a whole new way while experiencing this romantic comedy."
