Melissa Wasserman Named Vice President of Ad Sales Marketing for AMC

NEW YORK, NY, July 30, 2007 AMC announced today that Melissa Wasserman has been named Vice President of advertising sales marketing for the network. Wasserman was formerly VP of Marketing Activation and Promotion at CBS Radio. In her new role, she will oversee ad sales marketing for both the network and online. Specifically, her mandate will focus on developing innovative sales and marketing strategies for AMC's growing programming slate, branded environment, and multi-platform opportunities. She reports to Linda Schupack, Senior Vice President of Marketing for AMC.

Wasserman began her career at MTV in 1992 as the Manager of Affiliate Marketing for several hit television shows such as Beavis and Butt-head, The Real World, the Video Music Awards and Choose or Loose. From there she moved to VH1 serving as the Director of Consumer Marketing, leading award winning efforts for the network during a critical growth period. Since then, Wasserman has spearheaded the development of promotional platforms for such companies as Pepsi Cola North America/TLP, MW Media Marketing and Promotion and most recently CBS Radio Altitude Group. As Vice president of Marketing and Promotion at CBS Radio Altitude Group, Wasserman led campaigns between national clients and 140 CBS radio stations in the United States and managed programs valued at $100MM with clients including GM, Chrysler, Panasonic, AOL, Monster.com, Turner and ATT.

She has won several awards and honors for her work including CTAM Gold for VH1 Behind the Music, Divas Live, VH1 Honors; CTAM Silver for Pop Up Video, VH1 Divas Live; Promax Silver for VH1 Behind the Music, VH1 Fashion Awards; LA Ad Club Award for VH1 Behind the Music; and the 2006 Adweek Buzz Award for an AOL radio campaign.

Wasserman has a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and resides with her husband and two daughters in Chappaqua, NY.
