MetroTV Launches "MetroTV High School Sports Showcase"

Three Major High School Football Games in NY, NJ and CT
to Be Televised Live in November

New York – (Nov. 5, 2003) – MetroTV will spotlight some of the finest high school
football action in the tri-state area when it launches "MetroTV High School Sports
Showcase" a new programming initiative aimed at bringing the finest in high school
sports to area viewers. "MetroTV High School Sports Showcase" kicks off with the live
telecasts of three major high school football games in November starting on Saturday,
November 15th with a showdown pitting Greenwich at Staples at 1:30 p.m. "High School
Sports Showcase" will also feature telecasts of New Jersey Catholic school powerhouses
Bergen Catholic at St. Joes on November 28 at 1 p.m. and, the Long Island High School
Division I championship game from Stony Brook on November 29 at 4 p.m. MetroTV is
on Time Warner Cable channel 70 and on Cablevision channel 60.

"At MetroTV, we're working constantly to deliver great local programming exclusive to
the cable customer," said Michael Lardner, Executive Producer of MetroTV. "These are
some of the biggest high school football games in each state and we're delighted to make
these great local events available to our viewers. We will be announcing shortly other
major high school events that will be part of High School Sports Showcase."
Mike Curci will handle the play-by-play action for both the Greenwich-Staples game and
Bergen Catholic-St. Joes encounter. Former NY Jets stars Greg Buttle (Greenwich-
Staples) and Wesley Walker (Bergen Catholic-St. Joes) will serve as analysts. Carl
Rueter and Walker will call the Long Island Division I title game.
