MuchMusic USA Teams Up with AT &T Broadband to Bring Luis Fonsi to Miami

MuchMusic USA’s Shoutback Concert Series with Luis Fonsi Promotes National Spanglish Programming

MuchMusic USA Helps MSOs Target Latino Community in Promoting Digital Tier and Broadband Services

Western Cable Show – Anaheim, CA – November 27, 2001 – Rainbow Media’s MuchMusic USA, the nation’s only viewer-driven all music network, has teamed up with AT&T Broadband in the Miami market to host its Shoutback Concert Series featuring the emerging Latin/Anglo crossover music artist, Luis Fonsi. This concert is the first show in MuchMusic’s Spanglish programming initiative to provide dynamic and relevant Spanglish content. MuchMusic USA will offer MSOs nationwide local carriage of the concert to support efforts targeting the Latino market in expanding digital product offerings.

“Latin music is increasing in its universal popularity and is an ideal vehicle for reaching out to the community,” said Lisa Schwartz, senior vice president of affiliate sales and marketing for MuchMusic USA. “The type of programming MuchMusic USA is providing will help drive a larger Hispanic subscriber base and be used as a tool to up-sell digital tier services and cable modems.”

MuchMusic USA offers MSOs bi-lingual and English cross-channel spots, bi-lingual and English ad slicks, direct mail, incentive programs and broadband packages. Creating Spanglish programming will also assist MSOs in promoting their digital services and cable modems through scheduled program breaks.

Luis Fonsi will be performing Monday, December 17, 2001 at the Gusman Performing Art Center in Miami and the concert will air on the network on December 23rd and will be performing songs his from upcoming English album debut.
