(CHICAGO) – Joe Gerzema, a Fox Sports Net veteran in the areas of local and national sales, has been named the National Sales Manager for Fox Sports Net Chicago. James J. Corno, Fox Sports Net Chicago’s Senior Vice President/General Manager, made the announcement.
In his position, Gerzema, who will report directly to Fox Sports Net Chicago General Sales Manager Marc LeSage, will be responsible for all facets of FSN’s national advertising sales efforts, including working closely with the national offices of Fox Sports Net Cable Sales.
“Joe’s experience and successful track record in the national sales arena, along with his knowledge and enthusiasm for our network were key factors in choosing Joe for the NSM position,” said LeSage. “We’re confident Joe will lead our national sales efforts to another level of success.”
For the past two years, Gerzema, 31, was the Senior Account Executive, National Sales, for the national Fox Sports Net office in Chicago. There, he handled television advertising, promotions and marketing sales for all 23 Fox Sports Net affiliates throughout the country. From 1997-99, Gerzema was the Senior Account Executive, Local Sales, for Fox Sports Net Chicago where he developed and serviced clients for FSNC’s local pro team product and all FSN original programming.
Gerzema also held account executive positions with CBS Sports Radio in Chicago (1996-97) and Professional Sports Publications in St. Louis, MO (1992-1996).
A native of Valparaiso, IN, Gerzema graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in 1992 with a degree in advertising.
