News 12 Connecticut Producer Wins Gracie Allen Award ®

(Norwalk, CT) March 8, 2004- News 12 Connecticut Producer Gwen Edwards is the recipient of the esteemed Gracie Allen Award®. The award is sponsored by the Foundation of American Women in Radio and Television.

Founded in 1951, American Women in Radio and Television is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of broadcast programming and the image of women as depicted in radio, television, and cable.

Gwen Edwards is honored with the Gracie Award® for the weekend program, Our Lives, submitted in the "Talk Show" category. Gwen Edwards is the producer and host of Our Lives. The weekly half-hour program celebrates African-American culture in southwestern Connecticut. Local area guests including artists, designers, and teachers, are invited to share their knowledge with viewers.

The Gracie Award® will be presented to Gwen Edwards at the 29th Annual Gracie Allen Awards? Local Market Awards Luncheon on Monday, June 21, in New York City.
