Rainbow Advertising Sales Inks Integrated Marketing Partnership With Fox News

Deal Includes Rainbow’s National and New York-Area Television Properties Plus Cablevision’s Clearview Cinemas and The Wiz

Rainbow Advertising Sales Corporation (RASCO), a division of Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc., has signed an integrated marketing deal with FOX News, including targeted media buys and sponsorships on various Rainbow television properties and in Rainbow parent Cablevision Systems Corporation’s (NYSE: CVC) Clearview Cinemas and The Wiz stores. The announcement was made by RASCO President and Chief Operating Officer David Kline. Advertisements will begin appearing on Monday, January 24th.

“RASCO has built a strong reputation among advertisers and media buyers by developing highly creative advertising and sponsorship opportunities,” said Kline. “As part of the Cablevision family of telecommunication and entertainment businesses, RASCO is able to provide Fox News with a truly unique opportunity to reach its target audience on a number of levels.”

The deal, which was brokered by the Dom Camera Associates, Inc. media-buying division, includes: media buys across targeted cable networks on the New York Interconnect as well as Metro Traffic & Weather; the entire tri-state ring of the News 12 Networks; sponsorship of multiple programs and vignettes on American Movie Classics; sponsorship of New York Islanders telecasts on FOX Sports Net New York and MSG Network; advertizing at targeted Clearview Cinemas theatres; and placement of Fox News on television sets at all The Wiz locations during key political periods.

“We’re always looking for a way to maximize our media dollars. RASCO brought together a number of media properties that gave us strong exposure in the New York DMA,” said Jason Klarman, vice president of marketing at Fox News.

“The team of sales professionals at RASCO worked with us to create one package that would reach the target audience in markets that no other sales organization could cover as well,” added Dom Camera, CEO of Dom Camera Associates. “As media buyers, we look for simple solutions to complex strategies, and we found that all under one roof at RASCO.”
