Rainbow Media Announces Film Licensing Agreement With Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

New License Agreements Add More Than 450 Motion Pictures; Expanding Programming Offerings for AMC, IFC and WE: Women's Entertainment

Films To Also Be Used in Future SVOD Programming Initiatives

Jericho, New York, August 13, 2003 – Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc. announced today new licensing agreements encompassing more than 450 feature films from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. (NYSE: MGM). Rainbow will receive the films from MGM with various windows of exhibition on its national services, including AMC, IFC (The Independent Film Channel) and WE: Women's Entertainment.

Rainbow's agreement covers a large and impressive collection of motion pictures that are exceptionally well suited to air on its targeted film-based services – AMC, IFC and WE: Women's Entertainment. In addition, there are specific rights included for SVOD exhibition of the films on the Rainbow services in the burgeoning video-on-demand market that digital cable subscribers are embracing in growing numbers. The licensing terms begin in 2004 and continue through 2020.
