Rainbow Media's Lisa Schwartz to be Honored With a 2006 WICT Liberty Award

New York, NY – November 7, 2006 – Rainbow Media’s Lisa Schwartz will be honored with a 2006 Liberty Award by the Philadelphia Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT). The award will be presented tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8th, at the third annual WICT Greater Philadelphia Liberty Awards, held at the Park Hyatt in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

WICT’s Liberty Award honors chapter members who are leaders, innovators, bright, excellent, risk takers, team players with dedicated service to the cable and telecommunications industry. Awards recipients are nominated by industry colleagues and voted on by a committee consisting of Philadelphia Chapter WICT board members.

Schwartz will be presented with a Liberty Award by Kim Martin, WE tv’s Executive Vice President and General Manager. The award ceremony keynote speaker will be Jessica Heacock, Executive Vice President, MTV and BET Networks Affiliate Marketing, Ad Sales and Finance. Other 2006 WICT Awards recipients include: Tina Waters, Senior Vice President, Customer Service Operations, Comcast Cable; Kim Woodworth, Senior Vice President, Comcast Spotlight; Jennifer Gaiski, Vice President, Content Acquisition, Comcast Cable (Chapter Board Member recipient); Grace Killelea, Vice President, Human Resources, Comcast Spotlight (receiving the Lucille Larkin Lifetime Achievement Liberty Award).

Schwartz is currently Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development for IFC Entertainment where she serves as the senior distribution strategist for the division and is responsible for creating, identifying and securing revenue-generating opportunities. Schwartz brings more than 20 years experience in sales and marketing to IFC Entertainment. Prior to her current position, she served as Senior Vice President, National Accounts and Advanced Services for Rainbow Network Sales, where she played a significant role in pioneering the introduction of IFC In Theaters and developed key strategies that maximized IFC Entertainment’s relationship with filmmakers and MSOs.
