Regional Sports Network To Sponsor Race On Thanksgiving Day To Benefit Boys and Girls Club

CLEVELAND – On your mark, get set, go! For the Fox Sports Net 2000 Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. The 1-Mile and 5-Mile Run through the streets of downtown Cleveland supports the Boys and Girls Club.


The 2000 Turkey Trot 5-Mile Run begins at Burke Lakefront Airport at 9:30 am on Thursday, November 23. Pre-registration is $13; day-of-race registration is $16. Registration forms are available at Hermes Sports and Events, 1468 W. 9th St. Suite 220, Cleveland, OH 44113, or online at www.hermescleveland.com. Pre-registration entries must be received no later than Friday, November 17, 2000.


This year’s event will also feature a 1-Mile Run at 8:55 am (no awards). Participants in the 1-Mile Run and 5-Mile Race are also encouraged to bring a canned food donation for St. Malachi House.

Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Men and Women, Top 3 Men and Women 40+, and Top 3 in each age group. Age divisions for the Fox Sports Net 2000 Turkey Trot are: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 & Over.
