Rosie Pisani Named Senior Vice President of Marketing for WE tv and Wedding Central

NEW YORK, NY – January 31, 2011 – Rosie Pisani has been named senior vice president of marketing for WE tv and Wedding Central, it was announced today by Kim Martin, president and general manager of the networks, to whom Pisani will report. As a consultant to the women’s networks for the past several months, Pisani has been instrumental in developing WE tv’s recent brand refresh and new tagline, "Life As WE Know It," which signifies the connection women share on the wild ride of relationships during life’s defining moments.

"Rosie has a successful history of working with Rainbow and other companies to develop creative, strategic branding and campaigns that effectively communicate that positioning to viewers and the industry," said Martin. "She will be instrumental in continuing to build the WE tv brand and further developing Wedding Central as the first and only 24/7 destination for wedding content. We’re thrilled that she’s a part of our senior leadership team."

In her new role, Pisani will oversee the WE tv and Wedding Central brands and their positioning to consumers, distributors and advertisers. She will also lead the creative vision and execution of the networks’ marketing campaigns to support its original programming, acquisitions and network initiatives. Additionally, Pisani will oversee all partnerships, event marketing and public affairs campaigns.

Prior to this appointment, Pisani spent several years as a marketing consultant to various cable networks including WE tv and sister network, IFC. Previously she was the senior vice president of creative services for Rainbow Media where she managed all on-air and print design services for each of the company’s networks. Prior to that she worked at Showtime Networks as the director of acquisition marketing where she managed direct marketing campaigns for Showtime and The Movie Channel. Pisani began her career at WLIR-FM radio station as a music and program director.

Pisani graduated from St. John’s University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing/ communication arts. She is a member of CTAM and WICT.
