Sundance Channel Names Alysse Bezahler Vice President / Head of Production

New York, NY, July 1, 2013 – Sundance Channel announced today the appointment of Alysse Bezahler as vice president / head of production, effective immediately. Based in New York, Bezahler will oversee production of Sundance Channel’s unscripted and scripted original series and specials, reporting to Nena Rodrigue, head of original programming. This is a newly created position.

"Alysse has been instrumental in the success of numerous series throughout her stellar career,” said Rodrigue. “We are thrilled to have Alysse join as our head of production. Her depth of experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand our slate of original programming.”

A veteran television producer, prior to Sundance Channel Bezahler oversaw production of several major network dramas, including CBS’s Elementary, A Gifted Man, Now & Again, HBO’s In Treatment  and the pilot of The Sopranos. Additionally, she produced Fox’s Running Wilde and multicamera sitcoms Big Lake and Hope & Faith.

Prior to her work in television, Ms. Bezahler was line producer on feature films including The Ice Storm, She’s the One, Election and Mac and Vanya on 42nd Street.

Today’s news comes following the recent appointment of Christian Vesper to senior vice president of scripted development and current and Jordan Helman to director, scripted development and current.
