Animania HD Acquires Animated Pre-School Series Katakune
New York, NY – September 17, 2007 – VOOM HD Networks, the largest and most diverse suite of high-definition channels nationwide, announced today the acquisition of three new programs for kids and family. Family Room HD, which offers a wide range of HD programming for the entire family, acquired 28 half-hour episodes of RenegadePress.com from FilmOption International, which premiered Saturday, September 15, as well as 52 half-hour episodes of Animal Atlas from Midori, to premiere Tuesday, October 2. In addition, Animania HD, a channel solely dedicated to high-definition animation, acquired the first season of the new 3D animated pre-school series Katakunefrom Princ Films, the North American distributor. As part of the agreement, Animania HD licensed exclusive U.S. high-definition television rights for the first 52 episodes of the series produced in high-definition by Character Farm Pte Ltd of Singapore. The U.S. broadcast premiere of Katakune will air on Animania HD's preschool block in November.
The three acquisitions further VOOM HD Networks' commitment to investing in key HD acquisitions, maintaining an unparalleled library of HD content, and creating a diverse collection of valuable niche-oriented brands.

Teenager and aboriginal hip-hop artist Jack Sinclair (Bronson Pelletier) and his best friend Zoey Jones (Ksenia Solo) set up an underground ezine called renegadepress.com. What starts as a pet project soon takes on a life of its own pushing Jack, Zoey and their crew of renegade reporters to deliver the goods on what's really going on in the lives of today's teens. Animal Atlas is an entertaining show that explores the world of animal wildlife. It answers all of your animal questions, and gives you a better understanding of how different animal species live and what they need to survive. This series deals with different topics like "Animal Appetites", "Animal Antics", "Animal Babies", and also has shows which focus solely on certain animals such as elephants, bears, and monkeys.
