Concert Special Will Premiere February 17 at 9 PM
NEW YORK, NY- January 30, 2006 – RAVE HD, the first and only music channel dedicated to delivering a larger than life concert experience in crystal clear high-definition, announced today that it will premiere Queen & Paul Rodgers – Return of the Champions. The concert will include classic favorites like We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, and We are the Champions. Queen & Paul Rodgers – Return of the Champions will premiere February 17 at 9PM. RAVE HD is one of the VOOM HD Networks, the largest and most diverse suite of high-definition channels nationwide and currently available on DISH Network.

Queen & Paul Rogers – Return of the Champions will showcase Queen’s 2005 world tour, with Paul Rodgers, formerly from Free and Bad Company, stepping into the irreplaceable and legendary Freddie Mercury’s shoes alongside Brian May and Roger Taylor. The spectacular show recorded in Sheffield, England in front of a rapturous audience of 12,000 will feature all the Queen classics including I Want it All, We Will Rock You, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody and We are the Champions as well as Rodgers’ anthem classic All Right Now. Queen & Paul Rogers – Return of the Champions was directed by Double Emmy award winner David Mallet high definition, and produced by Rocky Oldham.
This month, VOOM HD announced its distribution agreement with Echostar Communications to carry all fifteen HD channels on its Dish Network. In October of last year, VOOM HD solidified a co-production deal with Singapore to create mostly nonfiction niche programming. Since its launch in early 2005, VOOM has gone on to produce compelling original HD content for a wide variety of consumer interests including: the largest collection of HD horror films; a one-of-a-kind live memorabilia auction; animation for kids of all ages and action-adventure sporting events.
