Networks Sign 360ep, Inc. as Exclusive Licensing Agent
NEW YORK, NY – June 1, 2010 – WE tv and Wedding Central announced today that it will begin a licensing program at the women’s targeted networks to extend the popular brands from their already robust multiplatform offerings directly into viewer’s lives and homes. 360ep, Inc., an entertainment licensing company, will exclusively represent the networks for all licensing initiatives.
"Licensing is a great way for WE tv and Wedding Central to directly connect with viewers," said Jen Robertson, senior vice president of digital media & business development for WE tv and Wedding Central. "Our goal is to create consumer products that are helpful, enjoyable and fun for today’s modern women, their homes and the people they care most about – family and friends. We are thrilled to be working with 360ep in this latest business venture."
WE tv (www.WEtv.com) showcases great stories of real-life drama, humor and conflict that modern women experience throughout key life stages, from getting married to having children and raising a family. Wedding Central is the first and only 24/7 multiplatform destination dedicated to weddings, dating and relationships.
360ep will seek out opportunities to create consumer products based on the popular shows on WE tv and Wedding Central, including "Bridezillas," "My Fair Wedding," "Raising Sextuplets" and "The Locator," among others. The wedding programming showcased on these networks particularly lends well to licensing tie-ins with manufacturers of stationery, reception decor, china, gifts, bridal dresses and accessories. In addition, 360ep will explore licensing opportunities in categories such as apparel, games, mobile content and novelties.
"WE tv is incredibly well positioned to enter into licensing," said Bill Jemas, 360ep’s CEO. "The combination of a strong audience base, relevant and popular subject matter and the ability to support licensees, both on air and off, makes WE tv a company that is sure to make a big splash in the licensing industry."
