Commenting on the series, Martin Von Ruden, General Manager and Executive Vice President of the 24-hour cable network, said: '"With "When I Was a Girl," we've discovered that this type of program touches a broad spectrum of women, all of whom relate to the stories and anecdotes relayed in the series. Linda Ellerbee has done a tremendous job in keeping the series true to its original intent – we are proud to have "When I Was A Girl" on our air."

Showcasing "A-list" personalities and industry leaders, the series asks women to reveal intimate moments from their childhood and adolescence. Produced by award-winning filmmaker Linda Ellerbee, the lineup for the new episodes, narrated by "Sex and the City's" Kristin Davis, are as follows:

Sunday, September 22nd from 10:00-10:30 PM/ET – Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City), Kelly Preston (Jerry Maguire), Ann Curry (The Today Show), and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos).

WHEN I WAS A GIRL offers viewers a rare glimpse into the early years of famous females. Focusing on previously untold stories from their youth, the program celebrates the similarities that all women share in their memories, dreams and fears while evolving from girls into women. From the time when parents seemed all-knowing, to the awkward era of adolescence, each of these women discloses intimate memories as they speak candidly from their heart – recalling their connection to their favorite 'blankie,' their first kiss, and the names of all their stuffed animals and imaginary friends. While the stories are personal, when told collectively, these recollections reveal the shared experience of all girls.

"Memory is the library we all carry with us," says Linda Ellerbee. "WHEN I WAS A GIRL is a phrase that conjures up emotions both good and bad-poignant and joyful. This series catapults the women who are featured back to an era, a milestone, or a defining moment, when they learned something about themselves. And for the viewers, it's like being invited to a wonderful dinner party with all of your best girlfriends. It demonstrates that no matter what road a woman chooses, how much money she makes, or what she looks like – she shares something with all other women – they were all once girls."
