Welcome Home, Rocky Horror!

The Mother of all Midnight Movies Returns to the Village

Friday July 7th & Saturday July 8th at Midnight

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW
(1975, JIM SHARMAN)

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW midnight tradition at the theater that started it all. In 1976, the Waverly Theater launched ROCKY HORROR as a midnight movie, and the rest is history. Now, thirty years later, the Waverly has been reborn at the IFC Center, and we're thrilled to be welcoming the movie back to its original home. The show's combination of live cast, audience participation, in-theater props and overall outrageousness made it an instant cult classic. Still going strong three decades later, it continues to attract new generations of fans.

IFC Center will be playing ROCKY HORROR one weekend every other month, starting in July on Friday and Saturday July 7th & 8th at midnight; the next show is scheduled for September 8th & 9th. Clearview's Chelsea Cinema remains ROCKY HORROR's regular NYC home, and will continue to host ROCKY HORROR throughout the rest of the year.

The IFC Center program, Waverly Midnights, is a monthly film series screening cutting-edge films at the midnight hour.
