Holiday special premieres November 22 on WE: Women’s Entertainment
Tree decorating, outdoor lighting and holiday baking are just some of the seasonal traditions tackled by WE’s team of holiday home invaders
NEW YORK, NY, October 5, 2005 – How many American’s have seen National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and secretly wanted to make their homes look like the Griswalds? WE: Women’s Entertainment helps one American family get that holiday bling with the premiere of Holiday Home Invasion, Tuesday, November 22 at 10:00pm ET. This one-hour special will document the transformation of an ordinary four-bedroom home into a seasonal wonderland filled with garland, sweets, trees and all the trimmings.
The Calva’s are an average American family until WE’s team of holiday decorators, carpenters and chefs invade their California home. While the family is away for the weekend WE’s team transforms their home into an extravagant holiday playland, complete with over-the-top decorations, delectable goodies and a lighting display that would make Clark Griswald green with envy. Along the way viewers will learn the inside scoop on how to create these over the top decorations and delicacies in their own home.
Michelle Beadle, who recently hosted the Travel Channel’s “Get Packin” and “Beach Week”, will host Holiday Home Invasion. WE’s team of holiday invaders includes designer, Steve Kemble, who most recently appeared on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition and TLC’s “Sheer Dallas”; crew chief, Carmen De La Paz, whose credits include appearances on HGTV and Telemundo; and chefs to the stars, Betty Fraser and Denise DeCarlo, who have cooked for the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Teri Hatcher and Jennifer Lopez.
Holiday Home Invasion is produced by Martin-Calvert Productions and will air on WE: Women’s Entertainment throughout the holiday season.
