AMC Announces Heineken as a New Advertiser for the Network with Sunday Morning Shootout

Special Episode Focuses on the Sundance Film Festival and Features Sundance Founder Robert Redford

Episode Premieres January 29 at 11 am ET/PT

New York, NY, January 26, 2005 – AMC, basic cable's premiere destination dedicated to movies and movie culture, announced today that Heineken has signed on as a new advertiser for the network, for Sunday Morning Shootout's special Sundance episode. The special will air on January 29 at 11AM and is just one of the many episodes which are taped on location at acclaimed and high-profile industry events. The show, hosted by industry insiders Peter Bart and Peter Guber, airs every Sunday at 11AM ET/PT, and continues to attract Hollywood's hottest actors, directors and producers.

Heineken will receive seamless and relevant production integration in its special Sundance episode. As a partner of the show's special episode taped from the Sundance Film Festival (January 19-29), Heineken receives a custom-created segment taped at the Heineken "Green Room," a venue for key film premiere parties and intimate celebrity dinners. Todd McCarthy, Variety film critic, will be on site at the Heineken Green Room to tape movie news, celebrity interviews including one with Sundance Founder Robert Redford where he discusses the history of the event, and all around highlights from the festival. Online presence at www.amctv.com, includes a Heineken-sponsored "What to Watch" Sundance film list.

Today's announcement comes after a record-breaking year for AMC. The network's new investment in film titles, programming stunts and specials and original programming had a tremendous impact in 2005, providing AMC with its strongest year ever in delivery of household and key demos in every daypart.

Sunday Morning Shootout is a half-hour weekly series on AMC hosted by entertainment industry veterans, Peter Guber and Peter Bart. Guber is the chairman of Mandalay Pictures, former CEO of Sony Pictures, the producer of dozens of Hollywood's most successful movies including Midnight Express, Batman and Rainman. Bart is editor-in-chief of Variety, and a former reporter for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. In his career as an executive at Paramount Pictures and as president of Lorimar, Bart played a major role creating classics like The Godfather, Rosemary's Baby and The Postman Always Rings Twice. Now in its fourth season, ShootOut has gained both critical and industry acclaim for its timely and relevant discussion topics and its roster of A-list guests.
