Critically Acclaimed Network Now Available in 95% of All Pay TV Homes
New York – 28 June 2016 – AMC Global, the international AMC-branded television network, reached a new milestone by striking an agreement with KPN in the Netherlands. The network will now be available in more than 95% of all pay TV homes in the Netherlands and will launch in the region on 1st July 2016. AMC is a premiere destination for outstanding original storytelling and is home to hit series such as “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Into the Badlands,” among others.
AMC will be carried in KPN’s ’PlusPakket’, making the channel available in 7.5 million pay TV homes the Netherlands. With this launch, the channel will have a total coverage of 95% of the Dutch market.

Among KPN’s lineup, AMC will be the ’Channel of the Month’ in August. On 22nd August, AMC will launch the highly anticipated Season 2B of “Fear the Walking Dead”. Also in August, “TURN: Washington Spies” series will debut on AMC in the Netherlands. In July, AMC will premiere “Hap and Leonard”, starring Christina Hendricks of the award winning “Mad Men”. Also during July, “Fear the Walking Dead” season 1 and 2A will be scheduled as a marathon event to give an opportunity to new KPN viewers to catch-up with this exclusive AMC original. Other special weekend marathons on KPN will be dedicated to AMC’s top programming series like “Humans”, “The Night Manager” and “Into the Badlands”.
