New York, NY – April 13, 2022 – This May, AMC+ celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with “Asian Americans Amplified,” a curated collection of original series, specials and films from across the company’s portfolio highlighting stories and perspectives of the AAPI community. Programming includes original series such as Killing Eve and True Terror with George Takei, as well as an extensive lineup of feature films, indies and documentaries from Slumdog Millionaire to Train to Bustan to Linsanity and They Live in the Grey. A routine raid led by a detective in the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) reveals that a small-time drug dealer has been receiving substantial funding from a seemingly untraceable source – not in cash, but in rough diamonds. When these diamonds are linked to a series of bombings in Belgium, Detective Emer Berry (Angeline Ball, Acceptable Risk, Keeping Faith) is forced to work with Police Commissioner Christian De Jong (Wouter Hendrickx, Blackout, Undercover). In the second half of Season 7, months have passed after the nuclear blast and the only one thriving is Victor Strand (Colman Domingo). The Dreamers tells the story of three young Palestinian students who travel to Tel Aviv in 2008 and try to establish a new and liberated Palestinian community for themselves. When the three friends, Warda (Maisa Abd Elhadi), Kayes (Riyad Sliman) and Salah (Aiman Daw), try to buy drugs and get high at the end of a long day, they find themselves caught in a drug deal with a Palestinian crime family who ultimately see the three indebted students as ideal accomplices for getting their goods distributed among local youth. This gets them into trouble with the local crime world, the police and their own families. The story is set against the backdrop of the rising tensions in the Gaza Strip, and the trio realizes that, in order to unload the drugs, they have to create the “new Palestinian scene.” In their own unique way, they decide to initiate an anti-war protest in the form of a large music festival featuring Jews and Palestinians together. Along the way, they create a historic moment in the Palestinian and Jewish underground scene. *Arabic/Hebrew Language Drama
