AMC Networks Hires Key Legal and Finance Executives to Staff Public Company Functions

New York, NY – September 13, 2011: AMC Networks Inc., (NASDAQ: AMCX) today announced that it has added a number of new executives to its legal and finance teams in connection with the company’s recently completed spin-off from Cablevision Systems Corporation on June 30, 2011.

As previously announced, the company’s management team is led by Josh Sapan, who serves as President and CEO and also includes: Ed Carroll, Chief Operating Officer; Sean Sullivan, Chief Financial Officer; Jamie Gallagher, General Counsel; and John Giraldo, Chief Accounting Officer.

The new executives include:

Cliff Bail, Senior Vice President, Corporate Legal
Cliff Bail provides legal counsel to the executive and senior management of AMC Networks related to corporate transactions and executive compensation and benefits. In addition, he provides general corporate regulatory and compliance advice, including participation in the review of SEC filings and the formulation of corporate policies. Bail reports to Jamie Gallagher. Prior to joining AMC Networks, Bail was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Cablevision. He also served as General Counsel to PVI, was Vice President ? Legal Affairs at Century Communications, and was a partner at Leavy Rosensweig & Hyman. Early in his career, Bail was an associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. He holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and earned a J.D. from New York University.

Vince Capurso, Senior Vice President, Tax
Vince Capurso manages the company’s tax function, including related planning, compliance, accounting and audit activities. He reports to Sean Sullivan. Previously, Capurso led the tax function at Barnes & Noble, among other public and private companies. He began his career at Price Waterhouse. Capurso is a CPA and a graduate of Drexel University and Temple University School of Law.

James Conboy, Senior Vice President, Internal Audit & Sarbanes Oxley Compliance
James Conboy is responsible for planning and developing financial, operational, and compliance reviews for AMC Networks and directing all company activities related to compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002. Conboy comes to AMC Networks from Cablevision Systems where he was Vice President and Divisional Controller for Sarbanes Oxley Compliance. In addition, he has held various accounting and auditing positions at Symbol Technologies, Inc., AT&T, General Motors Corporation and Arthur Andersen. Conboy is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting from St. Johns University.

Joseph Donovan, Senior Vice President, Treasurer
Joseph Donovan sets the strategy for all AMC Networks’ treasury matters and oversees the company’s cash management, debt, investment, and risk management activities. Donovan reports to Sean Sullivan. He comes to AMC Networks most recently from The Nielsen Company, and he previously worked at The Geller Company (Bloomberg), AIG Financial Products, Praxair, and Marsh & McLennan. Donovan holds a B.A. and an MBA from Fordham University.

John Hsu, Senior Vice President, Financial Strategy
John Hsu is responsible for coordinating AMC Networks’ financial strategy. He reports to Sean Sullivan. In this role, Hsu is responsible for evaluating business decisions and their impact on the company’s long term strategy across networks and functions. Prior to joining the company, Hsu was a Vice President of Financial Planning at Cablevision. Previous to Cablevision, he was an investment banker. Hsu was a Vice President in Bear, Stearns’s Media & Entertainment Corporate Finance Group and an Associate in SG Cowen’s Gaming, Lodging and Leisure Group.  He started his career as a staff auditor at Arthur Andersen. Hsu is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Anne Kelly, Senior Vice President, Corporate Securities and Secretary
Anne Kelly is responsible for the company’s securities compliance, corporate governance and corporate compliance areas and oversees matters relating to the company’s board of directors. ?She reports to Jamie Gallagher.? Kelly joined the company from Ambac Financial Group where she held the positions of Managing Director, Corporate Secretary and Assistant General Counsel at Ambac Financial Group, Inc. and Ambac Assurance Corporation. Prior to Ambac, she was an associate at the law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed in New York. She is a graduate of Cornell University and earned her J.D. from Northwestern University.

Antonella Ricciardi, Senior Vice President, Controller
Antonella Ricciardi is responsible for AMC Networks’ accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial results. She reports to John Giraldo and oversees the review and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. ????Prior to joining the company, Ricciardi was an Assistant Divisional Controller for Cablevision and a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ricciardi is a CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting from SUNY at Albany.

Seth Zaslow, Senior Vice President, Investor Relations
Seth Zaslow serves as the primary liaison between AMC Networks and the investment community and oversees all aspects of investor relations policies, objectives and initiatives, reporting to Sean Sullivan. Prior to joining AMC Networks, Zaslow served as Vice President for Business Planning for Cablevision since 2006. Previously, Zaslow held various financial positions at Time Warner Inc., including in its investor relations group. Zaslow began his career with Ernst & Young LLP. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
