New York, NY – April 9, 2015 – AMC Networks today announced Michael Cagnazzi has been promoted to senior vice president, digital product development. He formerly served as vice president. Based in New York, Cagnazzi will continue to report to Steve Pontillo, AMC Networks executive vice president and chief technology officer.
In his new role, Cagnazzi will lead the strategy and management of AMC Networks’ suite of digital properties and oversee the use and deployment of technologies to assist in the planning, decision-making and overall operations of the company. He will also develop and implement emerging technologies, working with senior management to implement solutions to further expand the company’s business initiatives.
“Michael’s strategic development of AMC Networks’ digital properties has been instrumental in furthering the company’s technology initiatives,” said Pontillo. “His proven track record and wealth of experience will continue to be invaluable in his expanded role.”
Cagnazzi joined AMC Networks (then called Rainbow Media) in 2001 as a senior developer. Prior to that, he worked as a lead developer at InternetCash.com. He began his career as a web developer at Cablevision Systems Corporation.
Cagnazzi holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Ithaca College. He is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and is a graduate of their Cable Executive Management program at Harvard Business School.
