AMC Provides an Interactive Movie Experience With “Much More Movie” – June 2, 9, 16 and 23 at 8:00 PM (ET)

JERICHO, NY, April 22, 2002 – AMC will offer viewers an enhanced movie experience via live streaming content during its “Much More Movie” festival- June 2, 9, 16 and 23 at 8:00 PM (ET). The movies include BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S; THE OMEN; BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID; and THE DEER HUNTER. The live stream, showcased on the lower third of the screen, will fade in and out throughout the movie. The content will feature behind the scenes information, interviews, trivia, a national sweepstakes, expert commentary, and more.

On Sunday, June 2, “Much More Movie” begins with the 1961 film BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S starring the legendary Audrey Hepburn. The following week, Sunday, June 9, the 1976 horror movie THE OMEN, starring Gregory Peck and Lee Remick, will air. Next, on Sunday, June 16, BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID, starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford as a pair of train robbers in the west, will be featured. “Much More Movie” concludes with the 1978 film THE DEER HUNTER, starring Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken and Meryl Streep, on Sunday, June 23. Each film airs at 8:00 PM (ET). AMC’s John Burke will host the on-air festival.

The live streaming content includes poll questions, trivia, quotes, a national sweepstakes, and interesting behind the scenes facts about the movie and its stars. By logging onto www.amctv.com during the film, viewers can engage in a converged experience by visiting the site to participate in the polls (2 per movie); post messages on discussion boards; enter a weekly national sweepstakes; view expert commentary; and read interviews, with celebrities and industry veterans, about the movie. Poll results will appear on-air, live, during the films intermission.
During each presentation of “Much More Movie” viewers can enter a national sweepstakes to win a fun-filled, one-week workshop in filmmaking. This course will be held at AMC Movie Camp, the result of an exclusive partnership with the New York Film Academy (NYFA). The camp is offered at NYFA locations in New York and at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Hotel accommodations are provided; travel is not included.
