AMC Wins Four Daytime Emmy Award Nominations

JERICHO, NEW YORK, March 13, 2002 – AMC received four Daytime Emmy Award nominations from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for AMC's BEHIND THE SCREEN WITH JOHN BURKE (two nominations), BEYOND TARA: THE EXTRAORDINARY LIFE OF HATTIE MCDANIEL and CALL TO ACTION: AN UNTOLD STORY OF 9/11.

AMC's BEHIND THE SCREEN WITH JOHN BURKE was nominated for two Daytime Emmys for "Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography" and "Outstanding Special Class Series." BEYOND TARA: THE EXTRAORDINARY LIFE OF HATTIE MCDANIEL and CALL TO ACTION: AN UNTOLD STORY OF 9/11 were both nominated in the category of "Outstanding Special Class Special."

BEHIND THE SCREEN WITH JOHN BURKE and CALL TO ACTION: AN UNTOLD STORY OF 9/11 are AMC original productions. Both shows are executive produced by Marc Juris and Jessica Falcon, and produced by Tony Gerber and Mary Tartaglione. AMC's John Burke is host. Peter Gordon is Director of Photography.

BEYOND TARA, THE EXTRAORDINARY LIFE OF HATTIE MCDANIEL is an original production for AMC that was produced by Firethorn Productions. Madison D. Lacy executive produced the special, while Marc Juris and Jessica Falcon served as the executive producers for AMC. Whoopi Goldberg served as host.
