NEW YORK, NY, October 3, 2006 – Rainbow Advertising Sales Corporation (RASCO), the advertising arm of parent company Rainbow Media Holdings LLC, announced today Bill Rosolie has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Rainbow National Network Advertising Sales. Previously serving as Senior Vice President of ad sales for fuse, Rosolie has established and significantly grown the network's ad sales revenue for the multi-platform, viewer-influenced, music television network. Building on the advertising success of AMC, WE tv and fuse, Rosolie will now lead the effort for all three brands in the areas of on-air and digital media sales. He will report directly to Arlene Manos, President of Rainbow National Network Advertising Sales.
"Under Bill's leadership fuse has seen ad sales revenue increase by 45%, from the last two years, largely due to the unique, customized, multi-platform packages, the network is offering, including on-air, online, on Demand and on mobile. Last month, fuse's growth led to an expansion of a new office, in Chicago, to handle advertising sales for the Midwest Region," said Manos. "Bill is a highly-regarded executive in the advertising industry with a proven track record of success and revenue growth and as we move forward to the next phase, our goal is to continue to develop customized, multi-platform, integrated strategies for AMC, WE tv and fuse."
Prior to joining fuse in 2005, Rosolie was senior vice president, director of Advertising Sales for the TV Guide Television Group, responsible for managing sales, ad marketing, research and operations teams for TV Guide Channel and TV Guide Interactive. He joined the TV Guide Network Advertising Sales group in 1998 and quickly moved to vice president of ad sales where he was instrumental in driving revenues for TV Guide Channel and TV Guide Interactive. Under Mr. Rosolie's direction, revenue of the channel nearly doubled in four years.
Before TV Guide, Rosolie was at The Weather Channel where, over a three-year period, he became the top-billing account executive, breaking major advertisers. He also spent seven years with Westwood One Radio Networks. As executive vice president, director of Sales, he managed the sales department for the Westwood One, Mutual and NBC Radio Networks, comprised of more than 30 nationally syndicated programs including "In Concert," "MTV Unplugged" and "Larry King Live," and live concert events including Paul McCartney and U2.
He has an MBA from Pace University and is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
In the past year, RASCO has welcomed a variety of new advertisers to its networks. Ford Motor Company marked its first-time ad buy on AMC for a fully integrated marketing package for their "bold moves" campaign for the network's first original movie event, Broken Trail. Hewlett Packard marked its first time ad buy with WE tv's She House Cinema, an original programming series where a home is designed for one lucky viewer. HP received exclusive product placement within the series as well as on-air and online presence. Looking ahead, the unification of AMC, WE tv and fuse allows for the ad sales team to provide greater service to advertisers and ensures overall efficiency as RASCO continues to be a forward-thinking, progressive media company.
