SAN FRANCISCO, CA, April 3, 2005 – At today’s NCTA, Rainbow Media announced several booth events and programming initiatives designed to demonstrate its ongoing leadership in programming innovation on both its linear and VOD services and to celebrate its popular and well known entertainment brands – AMC, IFC, WE, Mag Rack, sportskool and fuse.

These announcements are part of Rainbow’s 2005 National Show focus on highlighting its advances and vision for VOD and its continued commitment to work closely with operators in developing creative solutions to help drive sales of high speed, telephony and broadband.

Rainbow Media’s National Show booth #1629 is dubbed “The Control Room” where Rainbow is raising the bar on VOD with previews of its innovative on demand services, along with a sneak peek at some never before seen product.

NATIONAL SHOW BOOTH INFORMATION FOR IFC
IFC will award three Delphi XM MyFi Satellite Radios, along with six months of free service, at this year’s National Show. Show attendees can enter the raffle drawing by visiting the Rainbow Media booth (#1629) and submitting their business card. The drawings will take place at 3 pm on Sunday, and 12 pm and 3 pm on Monday. Winners need not be present at the time of the drawing to win. IFC chose to give away XM Satellite Radios because XM, like IFC, delivers uncut, commercial free media to consumers.

OLYMPIC ATHLETE JENNIE FINCH AT RAINBOW BOOTH

sportskool will host a visit from All-American softball pitcher and 2004 Softball Olympic Gold medalist Jennie Finch on Sunday, April 3rd at the Rainbow Media Booth (#1629) from 3-5 pm. Ms. Finch will be on hand to meet with show attendees and sign autographs. She is a three-time All American winner; two-time Honda Award recipient as the National Player of the Year; 2001 NCAA National Champion; and holds the NCAA record for consecutive wins (60) and most wins in a single season without a loss (32). Ms. Finch was featured in the 2005 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, and was the first athlete to appear on the cover of Modern Bride in 2004. She is currently playing for the National Pro Fastpitch league, the Chicago Bandits.

MONSTERFEST RETURNS

AMC today announced that it will once again renew its popular Halloween celebration, Monsterfest. Monsterfest 2005 will air on AMC from October 23 – 31 and will include premiere original programming, a national and local affiliate promotion designed to help cable operators drive their high speed services, and, as always, a line up of scarily good movies. In 2004, Monsterfest increased AMC’s total day household rating by 29% compared to 2003, with the programming stunt receiving its best ever A18-49 prime (M-Su 8p-12m) delivery (628,000). The annual Halloween festival also generated the strongest A18-49 and A25-54 total day deliveries (356,000 & 346,000, respectively) and A25-54 prime delivery (562,000), over the previous four years.

NEW VIEWER DATA RELEASED

As an important part of its presentation at the National Show, IFC, the first and largest network dedicated to independent film, announced today new research showing the network to have among the most technologically savvy customers within the industry, providing further value to its cable partners. Based on the latest Simmons Study*, key findings showed that IFC was ranked #2 for both VOD usage among all non-premium cable networks and for PVR desire among all cable networks. In addition, Mediamark Research** shows that 80.5% of IFC viewers have used the Internet in the past month.

NEWS FROM WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT
BRIDEZILLAS RENEWED

On the first day of the 2005 National Show, WE: Women’s Entertainment announced that it has renewed its popular series Bridezillas for a second season, to premiere on Sunday, June 12 at 10 pm ET. For viewers who missed the series the first time around, or for those who would just like to relive the experience, WE will also air two season one episodes nightly from June 6- 9 at 10 pm ET. And, for the super busy WE woman, the network will air a one-day marathon of season one on June 12 beginning at 2 pm ET, leading up to the season two premiere.
