Fox Sports Net Announces New Distribution Agreement With Mediacom In South Walton County

Agreement covers San Destin and South Walton County

(Sunrise, FL) -Fox Sports Net and Mediacom today announced a new agreement that brings the launch of the state’s only 24-hour regional sports network to over 4,000 residents in San Destin and South Walton County.

The new agreement, effective today, brings San Destin and South Walton County residents Fox Sports Net’s extensive lineup of Florida sports programming for the first time ever.

“Mediacom is dedicated to providing our subscribers the best quality programming. This new affiliation agreement will insure that our San Destin customers can now enjoy Fox Sports Net’s solid schedule of sports programming all year long and we look forward to bringing Major League Baseball to our customers this season,” noted Dale Ordoyne, Vice President, of Mediacom’s Southern Region.

Fox Sports Net will be seen on Channel 67 on the Mediacom lineup in San Destin.

Fox Sports Net brings sports fans a comprehensive package of 159 regular season live Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Devil Rays telecasts. The 2001 regular season gets underway April 4th at 7:05pm on Fox Sports Net when the Florida Marlins face the Philadelphia Phillies. The Devil Rays first telecast on Fox Sports Net takes place the next afternoon at Noon when the Rays host the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fox Sports Net also delivers NASCAR fans weekly and nightly programming along with live Winston Cup qualifying and Winston Cup replays each week during the first half of the NASCAR season. Additional Florida sports programming on Fox Sports Net Florida includes the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars, collegiate programming featuring the University of Miami, University of South Florida and the University of North Florida and more.

Fox Sports Net’s two nightly Florida sports news shows, FLORIDA SPORTS TONIGHT at 7pm and REGIONAL SPORTS REPORT at 11pm brings local sports fans the most extensive coverage of Florida’s home teams seven nights a week.
