SUNRISE, FL – FOX Sports Net Florida heats up the month of May with 30 Major League baseball games featuring 15 Florida Marlins, 12 Tampa Bay Devil Rays and 3 Thursday Night Baseball telecasts including the NY Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks. FOX Sports Net Florida will also bring viewers a Major League baseball triple-header on Thursday, May 25th.
NCAA baseball fans can watch the #11 ranked Miami Hurricanes face #5 Georgia Tech in a three game series on FOX Sports Net in May, as the ‘Canes defend their National Championship title. FOX Sports Net’s final Hurricanes telecast of the season will be a home game against New York Tech.
Football fans can catch exciting NFL action as FOX Sports Net telecasts four NFL Europe games in May. Heating up the NFL Europe gridiron include former University of Florida QB and 1996 Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel (Rhein Fire) and former Florida State University linebacker Deon Humphrey (Amsterdam Admirals).
Sports fans can get the best sports coverage every night with the National Sports Report, which made its nightly debut in Florida on April 25th. The National Sports Report airs live at 10:00pm and Midnight, or immediately following live primetime programming. Veteran sportscaster Keith Olbermann joins Kevin Frazier for the 10pm show and South Florida native Chris Myers teams up with former Major Leaguer Steve Lyons for the Midnight show.
Other highlights of the month include live PGA Tour coverage of the first and second rounds of the GTE Byron Nelson Classic in Irving, Texas and the MasterCard Colonial Classic in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The springtime brings heated competition throughout the state with FHSAA Baseball and Softball Championships available only on FOX Sports Net.
Weekly FOX Sports Net shows include Sports Geniuses weeknights at 6:00pm and 11:00pm, The Last Word with Jim Rome weeknights at 6:30pm and 11:30pm, Goin’ Deep with Chris Meyers on Sunday evenings at 7:00pm, Sunday Night Fights at 8:00pm and many more.
Baseball season is in full swing with Marlins Weekly Sunday mornings at 10:30am followed by Devil Rays Magazine at 11:00am. Baseball Today, a new half-hour show dedicated to the true baseball fans, brings viewers the latest baseball news and highlights weekdays at 5pm.
