Show synopsis for Episode #2:
"World Strongest Woman?" (Santa Cruz, CA)

Ben Lomond, a wooded community in the Santa Cruz Mountains, is the home of the annual Scottish Gathering and Games. A favorite to win the competition is Mill Valley's Shannon Hartnett. Hartnett is an 8-time World Champion in the Scottish Highland Games, a member of the US Bobsled team, a nationally ranked softball player, an accomplished body builder, and a top finisher in the World's Strongest Woman competition. She competes to set an example for women athletes and earn equal opportunity for women in sports.

"Not On Boards" (Lake Tahoe, CA)
Lake Tahoe ski resorts are adding new activities to attract more visitors. The truth is some people aren't skiers or snowboarders. What are their alternatives? Most resorts now offer tubing parks and ice-skating and some even have dog sledding. We've enlisted the help of Tahoe's World Champion Extreme Skier Jessica Sobolowski. She's going to give us the inside scoop on some of the other fun things to do in the Sierras.

"Horse Whisperer" (Napa, CA)
A sports adventure isn't just doing something in the outdoors. Sometimes it includes the thrill and excitement of a close horse race. If you've been to Bay Meadows, Golden Gate Fields or even the fair circuit you know that racehorses are beautiful, incredible athletes. But what happens to these noble animals when they are injured? Sadly, for years the practice was to simply destroy the horses. However, a Glen Ellen woman has rescued many of these animals and has provided a safe place for them to live for the rest of their days.

Note: Two more episodes of Sports Adventures will be announced at a late date.
