fuse Gets Intimate with Day-Jobbing, Multi Platinum UK Artist – Coldplay

Tune In To Fuse’s 100% On Tuesday December 6 at 9PM ET

New York, NY (December 2, 2005) – fuse, the nation’s only music-centric, viewer-influenced television network today announced that it will premiere an exclusive sit down with Coldplay on fuse’s 100%. The series, dedicated to showcasing intimate and candid interviews with artists and bands, while playing some of their quintessential videos, can only be seen on fuse. Tune in to 100%: Coldplay on Tuesday, December 6 at 9PM ET as the band discusses their brotherhood, motivation, influencers, and most importantly – their music.

fuse’s 100% celebrates musicians in a unique approach to programming by cutting through the clutter and getting down to the band’s inspiration, and what really drives them. Celebrating their 9 year anniversary, three albums and a US tour in progress, Coldplay’s Chris Martin (guitar, piano and voice), Jonny Buckland (lead guitar), Guy Berryman (bass guitar) and Will Champion (drums) are best known for their rock melodies and introspective lyrics.

“fuse has a commitment to our audience to deliver creative and insightful programming,” commented Robert Weiss, head of entertainment for fuse. “Coldplay has the perfect music DNA to appear on 100% and is a true inspirational band to our viewers.”

Since their early teens Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will had been making music. In the mid-90s, at the University College of London – as if by fate – the guys all met and formed Coldplay. Influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, the Stone Roses, Neil Young and Bloody Valentine, they all shared a passion for music and a quiet determination to be as good as they possibly could be. Four Grammies, four Brit Awards and almost 17 million album sales later, it’s easy to forget how far Coldplay was from the mainstream, when their first album “Parachutes” was released. Today, Coldplay has become one of the most celebrated bands in the industry.

In fuse’s 100%: Coldplay, viewers will have the opportunity to hear tales of how one of the guys came extremely close to being in a heavy metal band, that two of the members are really good at making beds, how the Beatles have had an impact on them personally and professionally, how they accidentally turned one of their singles around in 20 minutes, and that one of their fans – even though they claim to have “the best fans in the world,” has voodoo dolls of all four of them.
