Fuse Television Premiere
FUSE and Time Warner Road Runner Internet Service Team Up on Concert Giveaway
New York, NY (May 30, 2003) – Fuse, the nation’s only all-music, viewer-influenced television network, will be the sole media sponsor for New York’s Hot 97 FM Radio’s 10th annual Summer Jam X on Tuesday, June 3. Held at Giant Stadium, the concert will mark headliner Eminem’s only New York performance, and will also feature 50 Cent, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Sean Paul, Nelly, Lil Kim, Fabolous & Clipse.
As the event’s exclusive media sponsor, Fuse will go behind-the-scenes to cover what is sure to be one of the most talked about concert events of 2003. Fuse will film performances and interviews with the hottest hip-hop acts at the event for a special Fuse premiere, Fuse Presents: Hot 97 Summer Jam X, to air Sunday, June 22 at 7 PM on Fuse. The program will repeat later that night at midnight; on Tuesday, June 24 at 9 PM and 2 AM; and on Saturday, June 28 at 5 PM. All times are eastern.
Fuse is also teaming with Time Warner Road Runner Internet Service on a Summer Jam X concert ticket giveaway available only to Road Runner customers. Road Runner is sending emails to New York City customers for the chance to win two free tickets to the nearly sold out concert.
“As a big supporter of hip-hop music on television, Fuse is a natural partner for this annual celebration of hip-hop’s biggest artists,” says Fuse President, Marc Juris. “As sole media sponsor, Fuse will be able to capture these performances, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, in a special Fuse program that will give those viewers who missed the concert a chance to experience it nonetheless.”
“Although this is our 10th Summer Jam, it’s really the first in many ways,” says Hot 97 Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Matt Ross. “Among other firsts, this year marks our first partnership with a cable television network to bring our Summer Jam to a national audience. We’re delighted about our partnership with Fuse. The network has proven to be a great showcase for hip-hop and we’re happy to help raise awareness of Fuse among the hip-hop community.”
