NEW YORK, NY- February 21, 2006fuse, the nation’s only viewer-driven music network will once again provide quality entertainment to the hard-to-reach young adult demo with the unveiling of a brand-spanking, new music entertainment website entitled “JUST FOR THE F OF IT.” The site features vibrant, cutting-edge design elements along with music, gaming and entertainment content–all beginning with the letter F. The site unofficially launched on January 26, 2006 at www.justforthefofit.com.

“JUST FOR THE F OF IT” was designed in partnership with JUXT INTERACTIVE, the award-winning name behind groundbreaking branding campaigns on behalf of young adult-centric products such as Boost Mobile, Target and Volkswagen. The site already received recognition by industry web design aficionados, FWA (www.thefwa.com) who deemed “JUST FOR THE F OF IT” ‘site of the day’ on January 30 and 31, 2006.

“JUST FOR THE F OF IT” will undoubtedly appeal to today’s advanced technophiles and multi-taskers. The site features a variety of fun, free content including the misadventures of Francois the French Ferret, Fugly Fairies and the ever popular Flying Fish Fry. In addition, the site offers free desktop icons and accessories, downloadable stickers, Easter-egg style hidden downloads and other freebies and information.

fuse has enlisted the expertise of Mark Hoppus of mega-selling pop punk band blink-182, to be the powerful spokesperson on behalf of “JUST FOR THE F OF IT.” Hoppus has inked a year-long deal in which he serves as exclusive “tastemaker” and MC of the site. Under the featured section “Hi My Name Is Mark,” fans can access Hoppus’ popular blog and download his bi-weekly podcasts, which encompass opinions on music, his new band Plus 44 and information on up-and-coming artists. “The podcast just fits well with what Fuse wanted to do,” said Hoppus. “We’re both trying to bring new music to a new audience and occasionally introduce something that fans might not have otherwise been exposed to…And we’re both under the impression that people give an F about what we’re trying to say.”

In addition to Hoppus, the site’s “furry programming” allows visitors to watch interview footage and highlights from select fuse programs, kicking off with an exclusive Daily Download interview with chart-toppers The Click Five. “JUST FOR THE F OF IT” will also spotlight new music in the “featured band” section which boasts music videos, bios, artwork and more from a select band in heavy rotation on fuse. Other key attractions on the site include the “fuse fun zone” which contains downloadable stickers, desktop accessories and the ability to play “fuse ball” – a one-player flash-driven virtual foosball game.
