IFC Establishes Groundbreaking Integrated Partnership With Land Rover

Original Documentary Showcasing the Performance and Style of Land Rover Vehicles to Premiere on Saturday, September 1

New York, NY – August 22, 2007 – IFC announced today that it will create all-new customized original content as part of a groundbreaking new integrated partnership with Land Rover®. IFC will exclusively produce a half-hour documentary, Action Indies: Extraordinary Location Scouts presented by Land Rover, which will provide Land Rover with a unique opportunity to platform their brand. Premiering Saturday, September 1, the film will seamlessly integrate Land Rover vehicles into the context of the program, showcasing the vehicles' performance, versatility and style, and maximize the value of IFC's uncut and uncluttered environment. This new partnership further broadens IFC's unique business model that offers its partners, which include SKYY, Heineken, Target, and [yellow tail], among others, innovative and non-traditional avenues to effectively target and reach consumers.

"We're excited to be working with Land Rover on this groundbreaking partnership that provides them with a unique and creative opportunity to platform their brand," said Alan Klein Senior Vice President of Partnerships and Licensing. "This customized content allows us to strategically integrate Land Rover into an original film that will entertain and engage IFC viewers, and continues the network's overall strategy to generate revenue as a commercial-free network while providing value to its partners by allowing them to effectively target and reach consumers."

"Land Rover is delighted to be a part of the adventure of IFC's Action Indies: Extraordinary Location Scouts," said Finbar McFall, Vice President of Marketing, Land Rover North America. "Dynamic and innovative, the documentary aligns perfectly with Land Rover's core brand values."

Action Indies: Extraordinary Location Scouts is an intelligent, entertaining and surprising look into the adventure and reality of location scouting in filmmaking. Featuring commentary from directors, producers, cinematographers and other key players in the location process, the film profiles two location scouts working in vastly different environments – the Australian Outback and Los Angeles. Land Rover is uniquely branded throughout the half-hour film with each scout driving a Land Rover vehicle as they seek out the perfect locales for independent and Hollywood films alike. Footage will include interviews with the scouts from inside their Land Rover's while on the road, as well as shots of the vehicles as they tackle diverse terrains, specifically highlighting the Range Rover Sport's urban sophistication on the streets of Los Angeles and the Land Rover LR3's highly capable off-road performance in the Outback. In addition, shots of these Land Rover vehicles will be incorporated into the film's opening title sequence.
