The Independent Film Channel launches the IFC Insider, a new email newsletter that updates subscribers about what’s new at IFC. It covers television highlights and theatrical releases, as well as information about new features, promotions and sweepstakes at IFCTV.com and IFCFilms.com.
This email newsletter will reach more than 100,000 subscribers at launch, with plans to increase the size of IFC’s direct-marketing database significantly over the next 12 months.
With the tagline, “Your guide to what’s new at IFC,” IFC Insider represents a proactive push by IFC into direct marketing. IFC continues to expand dramatically, it continues to find innovative ways to bring passion for, and experience of, independent film to independent thinkers across a wide variety of platforms.
IFC’s platforms currently include IFC Television, IFC Films, IFC Rant magazine, consumer and affiliate websites, interactive television and broadband content initiatives, and VOD/SVOD. Direct marketing represents an additional platform and a way to connect with customers across all other IFC venues.
