Campfires, s’mores and theater! In celebration of the IFC Films‘ theatrical release of CAMP on Friday, July 25, The Independent Film Channel (IFC) presents CAMP IFC, an evening of films about being young and being yourself, Thursday, August 7 beginning at 8:00PM/ET. The on-air festival will be hosted by CAMP cast members Joanna Chilcoat, Robin De Jesus and Daniel Letterle and include preview clips from the film, which expands nationally on Friday, August 8. In addition, IFC presents The Making of IFC Films’ CAMP with behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews with director Todd Graff.

About CAMP:

Move over “American Idol,” the most talented kids in the country are at Camp Ovation. Based on an actual summer camp for young actors, singers and dancers, CAMP is the dramatic, hilarious and show-stopping story of a group of extraordinary kids growing up and discovering who they really are. In the best tradition of Fame, the kids of Camp Ovation have an irrepressible spirit that is not only uplifting but also contagious to anyone within earshot. Crammed equally full of production numbers and real life moments, CAMP is a comedic call for acceptance in a world where normal is no longer the norm.

What the critics have said about CAMP:

“Drop-dead funny…irresistibly effervescent cut from the same sequined cloth as Fame.”

– Stephen Holden, The New York Times
