New York, NY – August 21, 2008 – IFC launched today a contest asking participants to dress up their pint-sized guitar heroes like mini-rock stars. Snap a picture and upload your entry to the IFC "Dress Your Kid (and/or Pet!) Like a Rock Star" photo contest at http://kidrockstar.IFC.com between now and November 19.

Our first weekly prize winner will be selected on Monday, August 25 based on the highest number of visitors’ votes/ratings and again every week thereafter through November 24. Weekly winners will receive a $50 iTunes gift certificate. The Grand Prize winner chosen at the end of the contest will receive $5,000. Runner up prizes for Coolest Kid and Coolest Pet will receive $500 each. These winners will be selected by a panel of IFC employees and their agencies based on originality, creativity, appropriateness to theme and audience rating.

Kids in the photos must be between the ages of 0 and 10. (Pets of all ages accepted.) Entrants are allowed to post multiple photos, but only one photo per day. All IFC.com visitors can view and "rate" the photos that have been submitted.

Z ROCK is coming to IFC uncensored, uncut and commercial free on Sunday, August 24 for ten hilarious episodes. This semi-scripted comedy series follows a group of musicians leading a double life: by night they’re a hard-partying rock band, by day a Wiggles-style kids’ birthday band. Series highlights include recurring guest appearances by comedic icon Joan Rivers, comedians Dave Attell, Greg Giraldo, Gilbert Gottfried, with musicians Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction) and John Popper (Blues Traveler). Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Chris Barron (Spin Doctors) and comedian Patrice Oneal also join the mayhem.
