Mag Rack Names Cyndy Cecil Vice President of Programming for Mag Rack and sportskool

(New York, NY) March 7, 2005 – Mag Rack, the original on-demand network, today announced that Cyndy Cecil has been named Vice President of Programming, to drive the growing success of Mag Rack and sportskool, Rainbow Media’s on-demand sports instruction network.

In this newly created position for both on-demand networks, Cyndy Cecil will be responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of the programming and scheduling strategy. Cecil oversees and directs all original production and programming acquisition activities and is responsible for all content scheduling, the creation of seasonal stunt programming and on-air promotion designed to drive usage, sampling and audience. Cecil is a key member of the senior management team driving the aggressive growth strategies set for Mag Rack and sportskool in 2005.

During her six-year tenure as Creative Director and Executive Producer at Showtime Networks, Ms. Cecil developed shows ranging from pop-culture programs, documentaries, “making-of” segments, red-carpet premieres and behind-the-scenes, including “Is America Ready for Queer as Folk?”, “A Girl’s Guide to Swell Movies”, “At Reagan’s Side” and “The New Scream Queens”. She oversaw the creative direction for all segments and programs related to theatricals, original movies and series on the network, and spearheaded conceptual development, production, design and music for new channel launches and on-air graphic packages.

In addition, Cyndy spent eight years in various producer and promotions roles at Turner Networks (TNT, Cartoon, CNN, TBS), followed by a Promotions Director position at Europe TNT and Cartoon Network and Director of On-Air Promotions position at E! Entertainment Television.

Ms. Cecil holds a BA in Journalism from Georgia State University.
