NEW YORK — On Friday, June 14th, thousands of music fans are in for one truly wild ride as international recording star Wyclef Jean performs a free concert at NYC’s famous Astroland amusement park on Coney Island as part of muchmusic usa’s “Freedom Concert” series.

“Wyclef Jean Live At Coney Island…A Freedom Concert” will start at 7:00pm and will be the second concert taped for muchmusic usa’s “Freedom Concert” series, which brings top recording artists to perform free concerts at American historical points of interest. Last December, rock legend Melissa Etheridge launched the series with a performance inside the concourse of Grand Central Station, NYC. The concert event became one of the most talked about shows on muchmusic usa, the viewer-driven all-music television network that is rated a top five favorite among young people.

The June 14th “Wyclef Jean Live At Coney Island…A Freedom Concert” will mark the kick-off to the 75th Anniversary celebrations of the legendary Cyclone roller coaster.
