(Chicago, IL, June 8, 2003) – Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc., will unveil its new Rainbow “vod-o-mat” display at the 2003 NCTA. Reminiscent and inspired by the automats of the early ’40s, Rainbow is going “back to the future” with this display to illustrate its commitment to content made for video on demand. Over the past 18 months, Rainbow has unveiled five video on demand businesses including Mag Rack, IFC On Demand, Uncensored, Fuse On Demand and sportskool.

“Rainbow has been working in close partnership with cable operators to deliver programming that is unique and compelling for consumers and that leverages the power of VOD to distinguish cable,” said Josh Sapan, president and CEO of Rainbow. “Our show display is a fun way to demonstrate the importance of ‘choice and control’ for consumers and to build awareness of Rainbow’s VOD businesses among our cable operator friends.”

The Rainbow “vod-o-mat” will also offer an ‘on-demand’ gift experience for conference attendees. As part of the effort to draw attention and inspire attendees to check out the Rainbow businesses, Rainbow will be conducting a hotel room distribution of keycards on Sunday, June 8, 2003. The keycards will enable attendees to choose from the gift offerings, according to their specific interests, whenever they want. The selection of fun items includes a portable FM radio with compass, a set of golf balls or a DVD movie, all of which are directly related to Rainbow’s VOD programming.

Located at booth number 539, which can be found along the central aisle in McCormick Place, the Rainbow booth will be host to a myriad of activities throughout the week including:

Rainbow’s “Cocktail Hour” – Monday, June 9, 2003, 4:00PM – 5:00 PM Featuring: a special “VOD drink” and cupcakes.

Daily Rainbow Raffles – Monday, June 9, 2003 at 4:00 PM and Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 11:00 AM and 4:00PM. Giveaways: iPOD, Elph camera and Treo phone.
