Rainbow’s News 12 Networks and MetroChannels Along With MSG Networks Captured 27 Emmy Awards

Reinforcing the Value of Cablevision’s Regional Programming Networks

New York, NY, April 22, 2002 – Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc.’s News 12 Networks and MetroChannels along with MSG Networks captured 27 New York Emmy awards at last night’s Chelsea Pier ceremony given by the New York chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Rainbow Media, which owns News 12 Networks and MetroChannels, and MSG Networks, are all part of Cablevision Systems Corporation.

The three local networks received 93 Emmy nominations, more than any other local programming company. Three of News 12’s local networks received 37 nominations including: 24 nominations for News 12 Long Island, seven nominations for News 12 Westchester and six nominations for News 12 New Jersey. MSG Networks received 31 nominations including 16 nominations for MSG Network, 13 for Fox Sports Net, and two nominations for programming produced and aired on WPIX-NY. MetroChannels received 25 nominations for its programming on MetroTV. Of note, Thirteen received two nominations for programming which airs on MetroChannels MetroArts/ Thirteen.
