Ralph Cerenzio has been promoted to Vice President Sales for Rainbow Media Holdings Inc.’s News 12 Networks, it was announced today by Bob Sullivan, Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales for Cablevision Systems Corporation. Rainbow, a subsidiary of Cablevision, operates five News 12 Networks in the New York metropolitan area.

A 18-year veteran of Cablevision, Cerenzio, 39, most recently served as the New York Director for News12 Networks, where he was responsible for marketing News 12 to New York City-area advertisers. In his new position as Vice President of Sales for News 12 Networks, Cerenzio will implement all strategic and tactical plans developed by Sullivan, and Cablevision Vice President of Sales Kim Norris.

Cerenzio began his Cablevision career in the company’s New Jersey office selling subscription sales and was soon heading up local ad sales for the entire state. In 1989, Cerenzio was promoted and moved to the New York City office, where he is still located, to begin selling News 12 to Manhattan-based ad buyers.

“Ten years ago, News 12 was only on Long Island and our billings were limited to local accounts,” Sullivan said. Today, we have five News 12 Networks across three states, doing $20 million in net billings, half of which come from major national and regional advertisers. Ralph has been with me every step of the way during this extraordinary growth period, and I owe him a tremendous amount of the credit. This promotion sets up the next phase of our expansion as we look to increase national and regional billings even more, while maintaining our solid local foundation.”

Cerenzio, who resides in Bergen County, NJ, graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in Business Administration.
