WE: Women’s Entertainment Reality Series Journey Women: Off The Map Continues Its Adventure Through May

Series Follows Women From Arizona to Iceland

JERICHO, NY, March 20, 2001 – You won’t need a passport, sturdy shoes or even vacation time to experience the getaway dreams of a lifetime. Experience the daring solo sojourns taken by adventurous women of all ages in WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT’s reality travel-themed series, JOURNEY WOMEN OFF THE MAP. If you’re a woman who dreams of leaving it all behind, catch new episodes of Journey Women premiering this May, as the half-hour weekly series travels from Arizona to Iceland.

A new journey premieres Mondays at 8:00PM/ET as follows:
Iceland – May 7: 84-year-old retired nurse Hope Beverstein leaves her senior citizens calisthenics class behind for an invigorating adventure to Iceland. Hope travels to the “end of America” – where the continents are being naturally split by water and bathes in the pristine natural hot springs. Her guide takes her on a boat ride through massive icebergs and a snowmobile ride atop a giant glacier, before being discouraged by incoming storm clouds.

Arizona – May 14: Artist Susan Hayden travels to the desert of Arizona in search of inspiration and a new landscape – both physically and emotionally. There she learns and experiences the Navajo culture first hand, as she spends time on a 100-acre ranch run by an 70 year-old Navajo woman. Her Navajo guides take her to visit the sacred ground of Canon De Chelly, the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley.
