‘Hoop Skirt Dreams’ Presents Films starring Hollywood’s Most
Memorable Fashion Icons

JERICHO, NY, March 1, 2001 – They epitomized the look of their eras. Their unique style inspired designers around the world. They had the presence, the allure and that intangible distinction that not only complemented what they wore, but also elevated the fashions from fabulous to absolutely fabulous. As part of THE FASHION SPECTACULAR salute to fashion this April, WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT presents HOOP SKIRT DREAMS, two back-to-back films featuring Hollywood’s most legendary fashion idols. The films will air every Saturday night beginning April 7 at 9:00PM/ET.

Resident on-air Cinematherapists Kate and Jessie host an evening of fun, fashion and film by featuring trend-setting breakthrough movies which defined the fashions of their era. The HOOP SKIRT DREAMS festival will look at the century’s most famous fashion icons and the movies that showed them off. Showcasing celluloid goddesses that were the barometers for stylish chic, demure femininity, and downright sex appeal, HOOP SKIRT DREAMS festival will feature the following films:

WE: WOMEN’S ENTERTAINMENT’S month-long salute to fashion in April is called “THE FASHION SPECTACULAR.” The programming event is comprised of original specials and documentaries, movies starring Hollywood’s most memorable fashion icons, as well as spotlights on today’s hottest designers and their creations.
